City of Berkley COVID-19 Update - March 7, 2022

We would like to inform the Berkley community of our recent building update via our COVID-19 Recovery and Reopening Plan.

With the recent guideline updates from the CDC, as well as, changes at the state and county level, we are shifting our mask policy for staff from "mandated" to "strongly recommended.'

We understand this change will be welcomed by some and concerned for others. We are asking everyone to Practice Kindness.

Members of our staff and the public may not be comfortable interacting with others without a mask for a while. It is everyone's personal choice and everyone has their own personal timeline of when they will be ready.

What to Expect City Facilities Open
  • Masks are not required for both the public and staff but are strongly encouraged.
  • Staff will continue frequent cleaning procedures, especially for high-touch surface areas such as service counters.
  • Signs encouraging social distancing and best practices will continue to be prominently posted throughout the buildings and on the entrance doors.
  • Plastic shields or "Sneeze Guards" will remain over the counters to limit person-to-person contact with staff and residents.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be maintained at all entrances.
All of the above practices will continue to be determined by the CDC and State & County guidelines.

Not comfortable coming into the office? Accessing many of our City services CAN STILL BE DONE via phone, email, through a dropbox submission, or US mail.
