City of Berkley & Rite Aid To Host A Community-wide Vaccine Clinic for Residents

Berkley, MI – April 7, 2021 – The City of Berkley and the Berkley Rite Aid will be hosting a community-wide vaccine clinic for residents 16 and older on Thursday, April 15, 2021, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Community Center (2400 Robina Ave, Berkley, MI 48072). 

“We are very excited to co-host this clinic with our local Rite Aid Pharmacy," said Matthew Baumgarten, City Manager. "I hope with creating more opportunities to boost the rate of vaccinated people in our area leads to a lower number of new infections and hospitalizations."  

Rite Aid will be providing 300 shots within the three-hour timespan. To participate in the clinic, residents must sign up for an appointment via the Parks & Recreation Department’s registration site berkley.maxgalaxy.net and search “Rite Aid Vaccine Clinic”. Registration will close on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 3 PM.  

Attendees will also need to provide the following materials (after registering) when they arrive at the Community Center:

  • A photocopy of their driver’s license or state-issued ID
  • Insurance card
  • A completed questionnaire (click here for a copy of the form)

Appointments are set up in 15-minute intervals to accommodate social distancing. Additionally, please be aware that, after the injection, participants will have to stay in the seating area for 15 minutes to be observed for any side effects before leaving. 

This will be a two-shot clinic for the Pfizer vaccine. The City will be hosting the follow-up clinic for registered residents to receive their second dose. Details will be provided to the participants following the clinic.
