Meet Your Director of Public Works:

The City of Berkley hired Bruce D. Jerome on January 27, 2004.  Bruce comes to us from the City of Novi and has 32 years of experience in Public Works.  In addition to Novi, Bruce worked in the cities of Northville and South Lyon.

Education:

  • Completing requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in
    Operations Management from Excelsior College.
  • Graduate of the United States Army Sergeant's Major Academy, Ft. Bliss, Texas

Certifications:

  • Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, S-1 Water Distribution
  • System Operator and D-4 Water Treatment System Operator.

Awards:

  • Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Edward Dunbar Rich
    Service Award. This award recognizes water utility personnel who have
    completed 25 or more years of meritorious service, providing and
    maintaining a dependable public water supply system in the State of
    Michigan.
