Local Food Assistance Programs

In Michigan, local governments have very few funds to provide social services to their residents.  Some counties, religious and social service organizations are available to help when needed.  The organizations below provide supplemental food assistance to individuals and families in need.

Angel Food Ministries

Through Angel Food Ministries, you can purchase groceries at a discount.  Purchases are made off of a monthly menu - each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $60; your cost is $30.  Check out their web site and find a location near you.
