As a resident of our city, you benefit from brush pick-up
at no additional cost. Please follow these guidelines:
Tree limbs, ½” to 4” in diameter,
between 3-10 feet long, can be placed at the curb in a
neat pile with the cut ends facing one direction. Tuesday's trash route: chipper runs on Wednesdays..
Residents with Friday trash day: Brush pick up for
residents with Friday trash days will be picked up
on Thursday.
Brush must be placed at the street before 7:00 a.m.
to be picked up. Anything put out after 7:00 a.m. will
not be picked up.
Stumps, roots, and logs will not be taken.
This service is
for residents trimming their own trees. Contractors
are responsible for removal of all debris.
Every year, we prune trees in the right of way.
The reason for this is so garbage trucks and the
snowplows do not hook onto over hanging trees.
A contractor performs heavy trimming with a bucket
truck on a rotating basis throughout the city.
We are currently on a six to seven year cycle.
Tree removal on the right of way is contracted
out. Tree removal must be approved by the Director
of Public Works and meet the criteria for removal.
Street sweeping is done on a rotational basis throughout the spring, summer and fall. We do not have a set schedule. The DPW asks that you do not sweep your grass clipping and leaves into the streets in the spring. This clogs the sweeper, causing breakdowns. Thank you!
