Meet Your DPW Director

Derrick Schueller was appointed the Director of Public Works in July 2011.  Derrick earned his B.S.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1997.  Prior to joining the City of Berkley, Derrick was the Assistant Director of Public Works with the City of Romulus and has over twelve years of experience working with communities in southeast Michigan.

Mr. Schueller is a certified drinking water operator with an S-2 water license through the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.  Derrick is also active with several professional organizations including the Southeastern Oakland County Public Works Association (SOCPWA), American Public Works Association (APWA) and American Water Works Association (AWWA).
